Download the guest list template (CSV). It opens in Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets. Fill in one row per guest, then import the file into the maker, or copy the cells and paste them into its guest list box.
| Column | What to put in it |
|---|---|
| Name | The guest's full name. First name and Last name columns also work. |
| Party | The same word for everyone on one invitation, such as a family name. They will sit together. |
| Side | Whose guest they are, or Both. |
| Group | How they know you: College friends, Work, Mum's family. Auto-arrange keeps groups together. |
| Meal | Their meal choice, if you are offering one. |
| Dietary | Allergies and needs, separated by commas: Vegetarian, Nut allergy. |
| Child | Yes for children, so the venue knows how many to expect at each table. |
| Notes | Anything the venue should know: wheelchair space, high chair. |
Two more columns are read if you have them: Table (a table name or number already in your plan, to seat that guest there) and RSVP (anyone marked no, declined or regrets is skipped).
Start with what your venue has. Ask how many tables of each size it owns and how many people each one seats, then pick the template nearest your guest count and change the tables to match. The table size guide on the maker's page lists the seat counts rental companies give for each size.
Every template includes a sweetheart table or a head table, which auto-arrange leaves for you to fill. In the UK, the wedding table plan maker can add a top table in the traditional order instead.
