• Corrections to a quoted text. If a rite, statute or scripture passage on this site is misquoted, misattributed or drawn from a superseded edition, we want to know. Corrections from clergy, registrars and celebrants are the most valuable mail we get, and they get fixed fast — see the editorial policy.
• Out-of-date legal details. Marriage law changes. If something here no longer reflects the position in your jurisdiction, tell us and point us at the source.
• Gaps. A tradition, a rite or a kind of ceremony we have not covered and should.
• Permissions. The original vows and speeches here are free to use and adapt with no credit needed. If you want to reproduce a whole page somewhere else, ask first.

What we can’t do

We can’t write your vows or your speech for you personally, and we can’t tell you whether your ceremony will be legally valid or whether your church will allow a change — that is your officiant or registrar’s call, and Written Vows is not legal, religious or officiating advice.

For the writing itself, the site was built for exactly that moment: start with fill-in-the-blank vows if you are staring at a blank page, or the full collection if you would rather adapt something whole.
